The ideal candidate will have solid experience across general building work, brickwork and roofing, and take pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.

The Role

You will be working on a variety of building projects and will be expected to carry out work professionally, safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• General building and maintenance work
• Brickwork, blockwork and pointing
• Roofing repairs and general roofing work
• Working on a variety of domestic and comercial building projects
• Working independently and as part of a small team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment

Requirements

The successful candidate must:

• Have proven experience in general building, brickwork and roofing
• Have good practical skills and attention to detail
• Be reliable, hardworking and punctual
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Hold a full driving licence
• Be willing to undergo and hold a DBS check
• Have a professional attitude and take pride in their work

We are a small, well-established family-run building company looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good eye for detail and is happy working as part of a small team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of carpentry skills and a good general understanding of the building industry.

The Role

The successful candidate will be confident in all aspects of carpentry, including:

• First and second fix carpentry
• Cut and pitch roofing
• Roof repairs and alterations
• Studwork, joisting and flooring
• Doors, frames, skirting and architraves
• General timber work and construction
• Reading and working from drawings
• General maintenance and building work

As we are a small company, we are looking for someone who is multi-skilled and hands-on, with a general understanding of the wider building trade. You should be comfortable turning your hand to other jobs when required and be willing to help across different aspects of a project.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience as a Carpenter
• Has a broad skill set across all areas of carpentry
• Is confident with cut and pitch roofing
• Has a good general knowledge of the building industry
• Is practical, hardworking and able to turn their hand to most trades
• Takes pride in producing a high standard of workmanship
• Is reliable, punctual and professional
• Can work independently as well as part of a small team
• Has good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Holds a clean UK driving licence
• Is willing to undergo a DBS check
